Keith Funk
President, Senior Planner

Keith Funk is the founding partner of New Town Architecture & Engineering, the Principal of New Town Planning Services, and a long- standing member of the Canadian Institute of Planners. He is widely known and respected for his ability to address urban planning opportunities and issues creatively and effectively. With more than thirty years as a Professional Planner, Keith offers expertise in Land Use Management and Zoning Bylaw Development and has been responsible for Official Community Plans, Comprehensive Development Plans, Zoning Bylaws and a variety of community and development planning studies.

Keith has specialized in building schemes for developers, design guidelines for municipal management of multiple-family, commercial and industrial development and also has a solid background in sensitive sites and hillside development management. Keith is noted for effective communication and public facilitation to generate practical and achievable outcomes that are responsive to the community and broadly endorsed.

Keith is an accomplished artist and his paintings can be seen displayed throughout our office and in local coffee shops. When not at work or in his painting studio, Keith enjoys visiting his daughter in Vancouver, and exploring architecture, art galleries and museums with his wife. Keith is an avid Formula One fan and delights in motorsports, usually as a spectator and occasionally as a driver.
